What’s New with the MZ-Series?
The MZ-series is an option for offices reviewing equipment from our legacy equipment range and current Kyocera range. Compare the exact model, document processor, software and finishing configuration for your workflow.
- Duplex Scanning: Compatible MZ4001i–MZ7001i configurations support up to 274 images per minute with an appropriate optional document processor. Actual throughput varies with settings, originals, processing and destination.
- Print Precision: The range supports true 1200 × 1200 dpi printing. Results depend on the original, selected settings and media.
- Security Features: Kyocera lists encryption, secure communication and storage-protection functions. Confirm the model, firmware, installed options and configured controls with your IT team.
- Image Enhancement: Features such as Super Resolution and Handwriting Enhancement can improve readability. Verify scanned records and test OCR separately where searchable text is needed.

What happened to the TASKalfa 4004i and 7004i? These models are listed in our legacy range. Compare the configured scanner and workflow options before upgrading; some legacy configurations already support 274-ipm duplex scanning.
Is the interface different on the new models? The new series features a refreshed 10.1″ Color Touch Screen that is as intuitive as a tablet, making it easier than ever to manage Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan tasks.
Do you still offer service for older 7003i or 9003i models? Contact our service team in Sunrise with the model, condition and location so we can confirm parts and support availability.
Can these machines handle large paper sizes? Supported paper paths can handle up to 12 × 18-inch sheets, while ledger/tabloid is 11 × 17 inches. Banner printing up to 12 × 48 inches uses the multipurpose tray. Confirm the applicable tray and media limits.
