KIP wide-format systems
Wide-Format Printers for Plans, Drawings & Technical Work
Architecture, engineering, construction and facilities teams need more than an oversized printer. Compare KIP configurations by D-size productivity, color requirements, media supply, scanning and the way a finished plan set moves through the department.
- Color and monochrome KIP configurations
- D/A1 productivity kept separate from office ppm
- Local setup, workflow and service planning

Current kip wide-format systems
Wide-format ratings use D-size or A1 sheets, not Letter pages per minute. Compare the verified series-level data, then select the actual speed tier, roll configuration, scanning and finishing equipment.

Plan the whole document path
A wide-format decision starts before the print button
File size, line detail, color usage, originals, media changes and completed-set handling all affect productivity. A fast engine cannot solve a slow submission process or a finishing bottleneck by itself.
Architecture & Engineering
Produce precise drawings and scan marked originals while keeping project files organized and available to the team.
Discuss your plan workflow →Construction & Contractors
Move bid sets, field revisions and deadline-driven plan packages through the office without relying on outside output for every change.
Ask about project needs →Facilities, Government & Education
Support maps, building records, maintenance drawings and other oversized documents with controlled internal access.
Review equipment support →Five variables that define the KIP configuration
Output type
Decide whether the workflow requires monochrome production, color plans or both.
Volume and deadlines
Measure D-size sheets per set, sets per day and peak bid or project periods.
Media supply
Widths, roll changes and mixed-size sets determine the required roll configuration.
Scanning and files
Original sizes, destinations, formats and queue management shape the input side.
Space and finishing
Plan equipment footprint, stacking, folding and the route completed sets take.
What happens next
Test the workflow before selecting the system
- 01
Review real files
Use representative drawings, not only sample graphics.
- 02
Select the tier
Match color and D-size productivity to peak demand.
- 03
Configure media and input
Choose rolls, scanning and compatible finishing.
- 04
Prepare the room
Confirm space, power, network access and operator training.
Local equipment support
KIP wide-format expertise for South Florida organizations
STAT supports wide-format customers from Sunrise across Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade. We keep KIP separate from the Kyocera office line because plan production has different measures, configuration choices and operator requirements.
Clear answers before a quote
Questions businesses ask before choosing equipment
What businesses use wide-format printers?+
Common users include architecture, engineering, construction, surveying, facilities, government and education teams working with plans, maps, drawings or other oversized documents.
How is wide-format print speed measured?+
Wide-format productivity is commonly stated using D-size or A1 sheets. It should not be compared directly with the Letter-page ppm ratings used for office printers and copiers.
Is KIP the same as a Kyocera office copier?+
No. KIP is STAT’s specialty wide-format line for technical documents. Kyocera is the primary office copier and printer line shown on the other product pages.
Can a KIP wide-format system scan plans?+
Scanning depends on the selected model and configuration. Identify original sizes, color requirements and file destinations before choosing the scanner setup.
How many media rolls does a wide-format printer need?+
The answer depends on the widths used and how often operators can change media. Multiple rolls can reduce interruptions when a plan set regularly mixes sizes.
