What Kyocera EvolutionNext Means for South Florida Offices in 2026

Kyocera TASKalfa 5054ci

Kyocera announced its EvolutionNext A3 multifunction series on June 17, 2025. For South Florida offices evaluating equipment in 2026, including teams in Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, the range offers current printing, scanning and document-workflow options.

At STAT Business Systems, we have begun transitioning our copier leasing programs to feature these new TASKalfa MZ-series models. If your current equipment is part of our legacy fleet (such as the 4004i or 5054ci series), here is exactly what the 2026 technical jump means for your daily productivity.

The End of the “Digital Bottleneck”

The TASKalfa MZ7001i and MZ7001ci support duplex scanning at up to 274 images per minute with a compatible optional document processor. Actual throughput depends on scan settings, originals, processing and the destination.

Image-enhancement functions such as Super Resolution and Handwriting Enhancement can improve the readability of some originals. They do not guarantee complete recognition of handwriting or replace a review of scanned records. For a local installation example, see our Broward property-management project.

Technical Breakdown: Legacy vs. 2026 EvolutionNext

We have officially moved several models to our Legacy section to make room for these powerhouses. Below is the direct upgrade path for our South Florida partners:

Security Across the Document Workflow

For healthcare and legal teams reviewing Kyocera equipment, security should be assessed across the document workflow. Kyocera lists encryption, secure communication, authentication and storage-protection features for these models. Available functions and protection depend on the model, firmware, installed options and configuration. Confirm the settings with your IT team and document the controls used for your workflow. Copier security can support a healthcare organization’s HIPAA safeguards. Compliance also depends on risk assessment, administrative and physical controls, staff practices, access management, service-provider arrangements and ongoing review; no copier or feature alone guarantees compliance.

EvolutionNext Upgrade FAQ

Will my current service contract cover a new MZ-series device? Coverage, supplies and service terms depend on your agreement and the replacement configuration. Confirm those details with STAT, your Sunrise-based service partner, and review the proposed maintenance coverage before making a change.

What does cloud-ready mean? Kyocera provides pre-installed cloud applications. Its launch materials describe a one-year trial of Kyocera Cloud Capture and subscription activation for Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan and Kyocera Cloud Information Manager. Confirm current licensing, supported destinations and setup requirements before use.

Will a new color model lower our running costs? Compare the quoted equipment, service, toner, software and expected usage. Energy consumption and toner yields vary by model and workload; lower total cost should be established with a case-specific comparison.

How do I know if I’m ready for an upgrade? If your current machine has surpassed its duty cycle or you are finding the scan speeds insufficient for your 2026 workload, call us at 954-321-1949. We’ll perform a no-nonsense audit of your fleet.
